Years of long service and hard work by officers and staff from West Yorkshire Police were recognised at an awards ceremony last night (Tuesday 14 September 2010).
The event, held at the Force Training and Development Centre, Bishopgarth, in Wakefield, saw 26 officers and staff receive medals for their commitment to the Force over the years.
The medals were presented to recipients by the Chief Constable, Sir Norman Bettison, who was joined by the High Sheriff Mr Richard R Clough, and Vice Chair of West Yorkshire Police Authority, Councillor Les Carter.
Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal:
Inspector’s Peter Tuff and John Priestley (both of Airedale and North Bradford), Noel Devine and Richard Hirst (both of Crime Division), and also Jonathan Brady (North East Leeds).
Sgt’s Elizabeth Walker (Wakefield), Grahame Doherty (Operations Support), Jeanette Shakespeare (North West Leeds), Andrew Hill (North East Leeds) and Gary Ferris (Crime Division).
PC’s Nigel Cockburn (Crime Division), Antony Wright (HMET), Suzanne Dawson (Bradford South), David Cockcroft (Kirklees), Martin Langan (Calderdale), Sally Court, Michelle Howell, Christopher Ingham, Jonathan Jack and Helen Crossley (all of Wakefield).
