Bradford Council’s new ‘Club Active’ scheme is offering a big discount gym membership during the six weeks of school holidays this summer.
The offer will run from Saturday, July 24, to Sunday, September 5, during which time people can sign up to six weeks membership to all Council-owned leisure centres, pools and gyms for just £35. This includes the three recently refurbished premier sites in the district – Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Odsal, Keighley Leisure Centre and Thornton Recreation Centre. Richard Dunn sports centre alone boasts eighty pieces of hi-tech fitness equipment including rowers, cycles, treadmills, cross-trainers and weights.
On top of this offer Richard Dunn’s is also hosting a number of Les Mills fitness classes this Saturday 10 July all for under £5 – and free for Club Active members.
Coun the Reverend Paul Flowers, Executive Member for Culture, Planning and Housing, said: “I understand that Les Mills is the world’s leading provider of group fitness programmes so it is exciting that we are able to offer them at our gyms and leisure centres. The Less Mills classes are as follows:
10am-11am Step fit (aerobic, endurance and tone)
11am – 12 noon Body Pump (strength/conditioning)
12.30pm-1.30pm Body balance (holistic)
1.30pm – 2.30pm Body Attack (aerobic/high impact/endurance)
