Following the tragic events of the past week involving the ‘Crossbow Canniball’ and 3 workers from the Bradford area. West Yorkshire police have decided to tackle the problem at the source. Superintendent Williams has stated ‘every effort is being made through coordinated activities on behalf of many agencies including the council and health department to find a long term solution and help women out of the sex trade.’ Bradford is lucky enough to be home to a number of different schemes to help women escape such a harsh reality such as, Bradford working women service, Bradford city substance misuse service and the woman together project. Know that Bradford is under the spotlight nationally, it is important that the authorities protect and rehabilitate the more fragile members of society.
