Bradford Council falls under Labour ruling‏

As of today the ten year conservative rule of the Bradford council is no more as Labour was voted in this morning at city hall. Councillors from the three major parties were present as well as Green party and BNP representatives. When it came down to the vote, a 14 strong Liberal Democrat and the Green party refrained from voting, BNP and the Conservatives voted against a Labour ruling, but was not enough to turn over a majority of 39 labour councillors. This means that councillor Ian Greenwood will again be the front man as he was ten years ago.  He said ‘I believe we can move this district forward with the co-operation of the vast majority of its citizens’. He also claimed that his main priorities are education and housing.
