Officers are seeking the whereabouts of Simon Wilson in connection with a number of offences. He is wanted for questioning in connection with fraud offences committed in Ripon on 7 April 2010 from a guest house in the city. As Wilson has re-offended since his release from jail he is wanted for recall to prison as this breaches the terms of his release licence. He had been sentenced to four months’ imprisonment at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on 12 June 2009 for similar offences.
Wilson is aged 26 and originates from the Middlesbrough. He has dark brown hair and is approximately 5ft 8in tall and of medium build.
It is possible that Wilson may be using a number of aliases, including Ian Wilson, Ian Docherty, Stephen Petit, Mike Sheldon, Steve Johnson and Michael Strike. He is also known to use the surname McDonald.
Wilson is also wanted for questioning by a number of other forces across the country for offences committed in their areas, which include Cumbria where he is wanted for questioning in connection with fraud offences. Officers from Gloucestershire, Dumfermline and Norfolk also wish to speak with Wilson in connection with a number of related offences.
